Design Thought Process

Design inspiration for the VLBM theme was centered around the pattern that a thumbprint or fingerprint makes. Being a volunteer provides a sense of commitment and personal touch, design for the fingerprint was a bit complex, however the pattern was very similar to a topographic map. In the end, the topographic map pattern provided a simplified design and offered an organic, fluid and beautiful flowing pattern that was the perfect backdrop to compliment the blurred and colorful textures.
